Apple announced the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3, and Apple TV 4K at the new Steve Jobs Theater today. While the focus was undoubtedly on the new products, we discovered the Steve Jobs Theater to be as beautiful and thoughtfully designed as the best of Apple’s products.
The view of Apple Park from the Steve Jobs Theater. We can’t verify this, but we heard that this spot offered the best vantage point of the new campus.
This transparent lift inside the Steve Jobs Theater rotates as it ascends and descends, so you end up facing the right way when you go up or down. The astonishing thing is that you don’t see any messy cables or parts within the lift as it moves.
Even the lift button has been meticulously designed.
The attention to detail is everywhere, even in the curves of these glass barriers.
There are no signs outside announcing the Steve Jobs Theater. The only sign you’ll see is this one at the mouth of the theater, after you’ve descended below.
This exhibition area was walled up from floor to ceiling when we first descended. By some magic, the walls disappeared and revealed the concealed space after the presentation ended. Notice in the next photo how the ceiling here mirrors the ceiling in the waiting area above it.
