Saying that the successor to Sony's well-received A700 DSLR is long-awaited is very much a misnomer. For fans of the Alpha system, it seemed as if it was never going to arrive, until recently that is. Looking back at the full-bodied Alpha timeline, notwithstanding their NEX system, it seemed like the wait was worth it. Launching it before the introduction of the new translucent mirror technology would make customers feel shortchanged, especially when SLT cameras have extremely high continuous burst speeds. Launching the A77 after the technology's maturity nets the fans a super camera of sorts, boasting the very latest and greatest when it comes to features and raw specifications. Things such as a 24-megapixel resolution on an APS-C sensor would be unthinkable months ago, along with 12fps continuous burst and full-time phase detection AF at the same time. Anyways, not to digress as I'm sure that you know all about the A77 already, so on to some of the shots that was taken during my time in Singapore.

Those shots are just a glimpse of the hundreds of frames I've shot so far, so do check back later! Here's a final shot of the grandstands as seen on the Singapore Flyer for now.
