Loves shopping, cooking and of course munching. Now part of the HardwareZone Malaysia team, I am ready to venture into the big wide world of tech!
I usually spend my weekends either chilling at home or going to the malls for munching and shopping, so when I was asked to take part in the PIKOM PC Fair 2012 (II) last weekend, I thought “Hmm… Why not?” As I have never experienced a PC Fair before, I did not know what to expect.
PIKOM’s PC Fair was carried out at the KL Convention Centre, where many brands and distributors participated over a period of three days. As soon as we officially opened our booth at 11am, we had a mad rush as we were giving away Freecom portable hard drives for our HWM subscription and Vinnfier speakers for GameAxis. We also had special appearances from Batman and Catwoman in conjunction with the new The Dark Knight Rises film, courtesy of Ricoh Malaysia, where we had a big giveaway of special prizes for the crowd. So to those who didn’t come to our booth or to the fair, you missed out big time as you could have met our wonderful team, posed with Batman and Catwoman, and won great prizes!
Even though it was fairly tiresome, it was overall a great experience for me as a PC Fair virgin, because I was given the opportunity to meet and interact with our readers and the passing crowds. It also gave me an insight into how much hard work my work colleagues put into this fair to make it a success. To those who missed the PIKOM PC Fair 2012 (II), don’t fret as there’ll be another upcoming fair in November. So please note it in your brain, phone or tablet and we’ll see you there!
